Radisson Resort Phan Thiet: Vietnam's Paradise Awaits!
Okay, buckle up buttercups, because we're diving headfirst into the Radisson Resort Phan Thiet… and it's gonna be a wild ride! Forget those perfectly polished hotel reviews – I'm gonna give you the REAL deal, warts and all. Think of it as a slightly tipsy travel buddy spilling the tea.
Radisson Resort Phan Thiet: Vietnam's Paradise… With a Few Quirks! (My Unfiltered Take)
Alright, so "Vietnam's Paradise Awaits!" – that's the tagline, right? Well, Phan Thiet itself is pretty darn paradisiacal. Think miles of golden sand, turquoise water, and… well, let's see if the Radisson lives up to the hype.
First Impressions – The Good, The Maybe… and the "Where's My Luggage?!"
Getting there? Airport transfer is your friend. Absolutely. It's a lifesaver after a long flight. And thank god they have valet parking and car park [free of charge] if you're driving. Accessibility? Hmmm… They say they have facilities for disabled guests, but honestly, I need to double check that later. More on that. They have a Elevator which is a good sign.
First impressions? The lobby is impressive: airy, bright, and you can practically taste the holiday vibes. Check-in/out [express] is a blessing, especially after a long journey. They also have Contactless check-in/out, which is, of course, awesome and very "now." The concierge was super helpful…when I could find them (more on that later.)
Rooms – My Oasis (Mostly)
Okay, the room itself… Beautiful! I was thrilled. I'm the kind of person that can get really grumpy really quickly without good sleep, so the blackout curtains were a godsend. The air conditioning was a quiet, efficient workhorse, praise be! And let's be honest, the bathtub was calling my name after a long flight (especially with those bathrobes – luxurious!). They've clearly thought about the details: hair dryer, free bottled water, coffee/tea maker, all essential after a long flight, and thankfully I did have Wi-Fi [free] – and it was actually reliable. Air conditioning in the room AND public areas? Amazing! And the seating area.. perfection, for me to work on my laptop.
Now, the imperfections: The soundproofing wasn't perfect. I could sometimes hear the happy shrieks of children in the pool below (which, honestly, was kind of charming but could get old.) and the safe box did not work, but they fixed it instantly, and they've also got in-room safe box. Then, what? The internet access – LAN - didn't work in my room though!
Food, Glorious Food… Mostly!
Okay, the food situation. This is where things get interesting.
- Breakfast [buffet]: The buffet was massive! Lots of Asian breakfast options (hello pho!), plenty of Western breakfast choices (bacon! Eggs!), and a ton of pastries. I’m a sucker for a good croissant. The Asian cuisine in restaurant was a hit, specifically the spring rolls. The desserts in restaurant… yum.
- Restaurants: You have choices! There are restaurants, a coffee shop, and a snack bar – all handy for fueling up.
- Room Service: The room service [24-hour] was a lifesaver on a late-night craving.
- Poolside Bar: A big win. The poolside bar was a perfect spot for a cheeky cocktail.
- Vegetarian restaurant? YES!
- A la carte in restaurant, good to have.
- Bar, of course.
- Buffet in restaurant makes you feel like a pig, but very convenient.
The Spa – Ahhhh… or Maybe Not?
Now, the spa… this is where the “paradise” thing was really put to the test. The massage was heavenly. Honestly, they could have been rubbing me with sandpaper and I would have been happy after the week I've had. The sauna, spa, and steamroom were all clean and well-maintained. I did not use the foot bath. And the spa was not very busy, which was a plus.
Okay, real talk: I'm not the biggest fan of body wraps or body scrubs. And the pool with view? Spectacular. However, I was really really hoping for a zen experience.
But the staff were all lovely, so that's something.
Things to Do – Beach, Baby! (And More)
The resort is right on the beach, so that's a massive win. You can spend your days lazing in the sun, swimming in the sea, whatever floats your boat. The swimming pool [outdoor] is beautiful, and the pool with view made me feel like I was in a travel magazine! The fitness center is… adequate. I'm not gonna pretend to be a gym rat on vacation, but it had the basics.
They also have a shrine on site, which is a nice touch. There’s a gift/souvenir shop which is useful for last-minute shopping. They also have outdoor venue for special events.
Health & Safety – Feeling Secure-ish…
They're clearly taking COVID seriously, which is a huge relief. They have Hand sanitizer everywhere, plus: Daily disinfection in common areas, Rooms sanitized between stays, Staff trained in safety protocol.
However, as with most businesses, you have to keep your finger on the pulse of it.
Services & Conveniences – The "Good to Know" Stuff
Okay, the nitty-gritty:
- Wi-Fi in public areas, yes.
- Daily housekeeping: Excellent!
- Laundry service: Thank god, because laundry on vacation is just the worst.
- Business facilities: I didn't need them, but they're there.
- Currency exchange: Super handy.
I was annoyed with the luggage storage, it was super inconvenient
- Car park [free of charge]
- Elevator – a must-have.
- Concierge – sometimes hard to find, but helpful when you did.
- Cash withdrawal – yes.
- Babysitting service – if you need it!
- Doctor/nurse on call: This always makes me feel better!
- Front desk [24-hour]: Always available.
For the Kids…
They seem pretty family/child friendly, with babysitting service and kids facilities, which is great if you're traveling with little ones. They also have a Kids meal.
My Verdict: Paradise (Mostly) Found!
So, would I recommend the Radisson Resort Phan Thiet? Yes. Despite a few minor hiccups, it's a great choice for a relaxing getaway. The location is stunning, the rooms are comfortable, and the food is generally delicious. The staff are lovely.
It's not perfect, but honestly, where is? Sometimes the service was slow or the wi-fi acting up. However, if you're looking for a beautiful beach escape with a good dose of pampering, the Radisson is absolutely worth considering.

Rimnam 2 Chiang Mai: The Ultimate Muay Thai Experience You Can't Miss!
Alright, buckle up buttercups, because we're about to dive headfirst into my slightly-less-than-perfect adventure at the Radisson Resort Phan Thiet in Vietnam. Consider this less an itinerary, and more a beautifully chaotic record of one woman’s (me!) slightly unhinged vacation. Prepare for some rambling, some serious swooning, and a healthy dose of "well, that was awkward."
Day 1: Arrival & "Is this REALLY the Radisson?!"
14:00 - Arrival & Check-In Shenanigans: Okay, the airport transfer… let's just say the driver clearly believed in the "scenic route" more than Google Maps. We're talking hairpin turns, honking galore, and me clutching my stomach like I was auditioning for a Fear Factor episode. We arrived, thankfully, relatively intact. The Radisson… hmmm. The lobby was pretty grand, I’ll give it that. But the air conditioning seemed to be on a personal vendetta against me. We’ll get to the room and my first thought was "Wait, did I accidentally book a different Radisson?" It wasn't bad, just… a little less Instagram-ready than the website portrayed. There was a distinct smell of, well, hotel.
15:00 - Poolside Recon & The Case of the Missing Towel: Found the pool! Sunshine, check. Beautiful ocean view…check. Poolside bar…double check! I plonked myself down, ready to be a glamorous sun goddess. Then the towel situation hit. Apparently, the towel fairies were on strike. Or maybe they just really, really loved the beach. After some increasingly desperate waving at passing staff, I finally snagged a single, slightly damp towel. Never underestimate the importance of a dry towel, folks.
17:00 - Sunset Stroll & The Great Sand Dune Debate: I, like a fool, thought a sunset stroll on the beach. It's supposed to be a serene experience, right? Wrong. The sand… it was… well, I'd forgotten how much friction sand had. After fighting with the fabric of my dress and shoes, I ended up with sand lodged in places I didn't even know sand could get. Then, the dunes! The tour guides made it look all majestic and easy. In reality, I’m pretty sure I was halfway to the top of my body giving up and wanting to roll down the dunes. But the view! The colors! (And the sand, oh, the sand…)
19:30 - Dinner at the Resort Restaurant & Existential Crispy Spring Rolls: The resort restaurant looked fancy. I ordered the crispy spring rolls. They arrived. I took a bite. They were good. That was the extent of my culinary review. Dinner was fine, nothing spectacular. It's almost too bad that they’ve made me feel like my life has no meaning or purpose. After all, it was the food's fault, and I don't regret any of it.
Day 2: Exploration & The Mystery of the Missing Water Bottle
09:00 - Breakfast (and the International Yogurt Conspiracy): Breakfast was…an experience. The buffet was vast, which is both a blessing and a curse. The international yogurt section…I swear, there was some kind of grand conspiracy happening. Every flavor was either strangely flavored, or had the texture of library paste. I stuck to the fruit, which, thankfully, was amazing.
10:00 - Beach Commando Mission & The Great Sunscreen Crisis: Armed with my (now coveted) towel, I hit the beach. The ocean? Gorgeous. The sun? Determined to make me look like a lobster. I applied sunscreen. Repeatedly. It was a losing battle. I feel like my efforts were less about protecting my skin and more about delaying the inevitable.
12:00 - Lunch at a Local Eatery (and the Spicy Noodle Regret): I did some research and found a local eatery. It was a tiny place, packed with locals. The food? Amazing. The spicy noodles? The food was indeed as delicious as it was spicy. My mouth felt like it was on fire, but in a good way. Until two hours later when my stomach began feeling like it was also on fire. The noodles were, in retrospect, a bit of a mistake. But hey, YOLO, right?
15:00 - Back to the Room & The Case of the Disappearing Water Bottle: I returned to the room. Exhausted, sunburnt, and slightly traumatized by the spicy noodles. That's when I discovered it. The water bottle. The water bottle… was missing. Vanished. Poof. Gone without a trace. Did a mysterious water bottle thief roam the Radisson? Was it the towel fairies seeking revenge? The world may never know.
18:00 - Sunset cocktails and The Pursuit of Bliss: I took the sunset cocktails, and this time, things got exciting. Sipping my perfectly blended concoction, I finally started sinking into the vacation vibe. The music, the lights, the waves… it was perfect.
Day 3: (Let's Be Honest, Mostly Lounging Around & Dealing With the Aftermath)
09:00 - Breakfast and the (Mostly) Defeated Yogurt Conspiracy: I’d learned my lesson. I went straight for the tropical fruit. It was a good decision.
All Day - Poolside Survival & The Art of Doing Absolutely Nothing: This day was committed to my new favorite hobby. I'd spend the afternoon poolside, occasionally dipping my toes into the water. I spent the day reading, napping, and occasionally staring at the ocean, wondering what made me so interesting. I feel that I have successfully mastered the art of "doing nothing".
19:00 - Farewell Dinner & The Slightly Disappointing Steak: The resort restaurant again. I figured I would order a steak. It came, it was… fine. Not bad, not great. But at this point, I was getting used to the mixed bag of experiences. The sunset, however, was spectacular.
Day 4: Departure & the Realization That… It Was Actually Pretty Great
09:00 - Final Breakfast Buffet & The Sweet, Sweet Mango: One last breakfast! The mango was sublime. Absolutely, utterly, divinely sublime. I ate my weight in mango. I have no regrets.
11:00 - Check-Out & A Moment of Reflection (and Air Conditioning Appreciation): Checking out was painless. As I waited for the transfer to the airport, I sat in the lobby. And, oh dear god, it felt heavenly. Suddenly, the Radisson didn't seem so bad.
Departure & The Unexpected Nostalgia: As the plane took off, I found myself feeling… surprisingly sad. Yes, there were mishaps, and sand, and questionable yogurt. But there were also sunsets that took my breath away, delicious food, and moments of pure, unadulterated chill. I guess the Radisson, with all its quirks, wasn’t so bad after all. And while I'm not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon, I will remember this trip for a long, long time. Probably until the next time I'm stuck in a hotel with questionable air conditioning.
